Application of air drying and dehumidification in drying lily
Basic introduction of Lily:
Lily is a perennial herb bulbous plant, mainly distributed in temperate regions of eastern Asia, Europe, North America and other northern hemispheres. There are more than a hundred species found worldwide. China is its main place of origin and is the natural distribution center of lily. There are about 100 species of Lilium in the world, of which 55 species are native to China. In recent years, many new varieties have been produced through artificial hybridization, such as Asian lily, musk lily, perfume lily and so on.
The main application value of lily is ornamental, and some varieties can be eaten as vegetables. China’s Lanzhou lily, which is famous for its edible value, was first recorded in the records of Pingliang County, Gansu Province, and has been for more than 450 years. At present, edible lilies are widely planted in Qilihe and other areas in Lanzhou, and enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad. Lanzhou lily is large and sweet. It can be used as a snack or a dish. Lily soup made from Lily of the Lily in Yixing is the best summer heat. Lily can also be made into dried lily and lily powder, which are very expensive in the international market. So far, lily is still a commonly used medicinal material in Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine believes that Lily has a slightly cold level, which has the effects of clearing fire, moisturizing the lungs, and soothe the nerves. Its flowers and bulbous stems can be used as medicine, and it is a flower that can be used as both medicine and food.
Selection of raw materials for lily
Select white, large, tightly packed lily bulbs to remove worms, yellow spots, moldy rots and reddened lilies; use a sharp knife to remove hair roots to remove dirt and skin aging flaps; divide the peeled petals into large, medium Three grades (large to medium small ratio is 4: 5: 1), and then pick and arrange the fresh lilies in the order of large, medium and small, and rinse with water for 2-3 times.
Drying order of lily
Fresh lily bulbs → material selection → cleaning → peeling color protection → hot soup inactivation enzyme → cold water rinsing → drain surface moisture → load into a special lily pallet truck (divided into about 6-10 floors) to advance the drying room → hot air circulation drying → Picking and grading → packing → sealing → storage → finished products.
Lily drying process
1. Selection of materials for cleaning. Selection of one hundred raw materials weighing more than 150 grams, individual hypertrophy, fresh, no discoloration, no insects, no damage, high quality. Wash the dirt and impurities on the surface of the bulb with water.
2. Peel color protection. First remove the old scales and stem chassis around the lily, then peel the scales and classify them according to different sizes, and then put them in color protection solution in time to prevent the scales from browning under the sun.
3. Scalding enzymes. The hot-scalding enzyme is generally carried out in a tiltable stainless steel open pot, and the amount of water added is 4 times that of the scales. The amount of lily scales should not be excessive, otherwise the heat will be uneven. First turn on the large steam to boil the water in the pot, then put the scales in and mix well. When you find that the water in the pot boils for the second time, you should immediately remove the scales. The operation of scalding enzymes must be well grasped. If the temperature and time of scalding are not reached, the scales will oxidize and brown during drying. If the scalding is overheated, the scales will burn out. After drying, the scales will easily break or form fish scales. The color is deepened.
4. Rinse in cold water. Immediately put the hot scales into running cold water to rinse, then remove the drained surface water.
5. Hot air drying. The drained scales are poured into a baking dish, spread evenly, put on a drying car, and pushed into the drying equipment for hot air circulation drying. The temperature is controlled at 60-70 ° C, and it is turned over once an hour, dried to a scale with a moisture content of about 10%, and the scales are brittle by hand.
6. wrap up and store. Immediately after classification, the package was sealed and placed in a cool and ventilated warehouse to prevent worms and mildew.
